No solo se llevó medalla de Funchal nuestra Selección Femenina Junior. También lo hizo en el Europeo de la categoría en suelo luso el español del Comité Nacional de Árbitros, el aragonés Carlos Ortega, el cual se llevó el "premio honorífico" de arbitrar el partido por el bronce entre las selecciones de Hungría y Holanda. Un partido que finalizó con 9—8 para las holandesas y que nuestro representante arbitró junto a la rusa Svetlana Dreval. Una vez más, felicidades, Carlos.

El litorial murciano fue testigo este domingo de la duodécima etapa de la IV Copa de España de Aguas Abiertas. Una prueba que se ha celebrado bajo la denominación de "Desafío Seaman" sobre una distancia de 8 5 kilómetros con triunfos de Eduardo Marrero (UCAM Fuensanta) y de Zoe Connolly (Elche CN). Además, paralelamente se disputó el "Medio Seaman" con un espacio de 4 kilómetros de recorrido.

España regresó del FINA World Cup Doha 2018, importante estación del circuito mundial al que han acudido estrellas olímpicas y mundiales absolutas como Katinka Hosszù, Yuliya Efimova, Sarah Sjostrom o Vladimir Morozov, entre otras. Varios internacionales estuvieron presentes este domingo en la 75ª Travesía a nado al Lago de Banyoles (Girona) con récord de participación (nada menos 2.710 inscritos) donde hemos visto la reaparición en competición de la campeona olímpica Mireia Belmonte (UCAM) —tras su ausencia forzada este verano en Glasgow 2018—, que en categoría femenina fue segunda (25.50) tras Jimena Pérez (Gredos SD/25.23) y siendo tercera Laura Rodríguez (Igualada/26.35) sobre un recorrido de 2.115 metros.

Reunión anual de los árbitros del CNA

Este fin de semana ha tenido lugar la reunión anual de los árbitros de waterpolo del Comité Nacional de Árbitros (CNA) de la RFEN, en la que se ha departido sobre la evolución del waterpolo y las instrucciones para la nueva temporada 2018—2019. La reunión, como el año anterior, ha tenido lugar en doble sesión de viernes tarde y sábado mañana. También se ha aprovechado la jornada para realizar otro acto de conmemoración de aniversario del CNA.
